Elena Poniatowska is a woman committed to social struggles , highlighted President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, expressing her affection and admiration for the writer. In the context of the 93rd birthday of the author of La noche de Tlatelolco −which she celebrated yesterday−, the federal president stated during the morning press conference: "We love Elena very much. She is not only an extraordinary writer, but a woman deeply committed to social struggles and the best causes of our country ." She added: "Our love, our affection, our recognition, our admiration for Elena Poniatowska will always remain with us ."
